georgetown profs and classes

i was recently accepted in UVA as a transfer and will be attending fall 07, but would like to take a few classes at Gtown with prof Patrick Deneen. Has anyone taken him? how is drive from UVA to Gtown?

Also, gtown students, i cant open the link on your website to view Deneens syllabi for his class, you need a password…could a current student by chance help me to view them??

thanks!!

any feedback would be helpful!

Is there only one UVA? (I’m from California, where there are multiple UCs and I am clueless, that’s why I ask). Anyway, if there is indeed only one UVA and that is the one by Monticello, that is quite a drive to be making on a daily basis…though if it is only one class then it is probably doable.

pm your email and the class,I will send you the syllabus.

yeah it is definately quite a drive…Even though its only one class, you’ll have to co-ordinate with ur UVA schedule and it could be abit of a nightmare

do u mean that the coordination btwn the schools is a nightmare??

no i mean you could have lectures at UVA on the same day as at G-town within really short time frames so it could become quite a hassel

atlart, do you realize that these schools are not near each other?

not only are they not near each other, but traffic once you get into the Metro area makes things A LOT worse.

As the crow flies, there are 160 km (100 miles) between Charlottesville, Virginia, United States and Washington, D.C. I don’t know how that translates into time, as I’ve never done it, but it seems like quite a commitment for one class.

Mapquest says:

Total Estimated Time: 2 hours, 23 minutes

Total Estimated Distance: 115.95 miles
