Georgetown Transfer Questions

@ crown

Let’s just say, I hope you’re right about Trinity’s reputation…Hopefully we’ll both get to move to the Hilltop in the Fall! Oddly enough, two of of my three international relations professors are Georgetown alums so I’m probably destined to wind up back here eventually.

The meaning of my username is that i am from CT. I go to a boston area school however, and was contacted by the boston area interview coordinator. FYI to everyone, I still have not heard back

Were we all supposed to be contacted for an interview?

^all interviews are to be submitted by the 20th i believe so, if you have not been contacted you won’t this term

Okay! Thank you! :)

no problem future Hoya. Haha but yeah don’t worry about it, if you dont have an interview it wont count against you  and lol i have mine over the phone at 11

Good to know  Good luck on your interview!! though, aren’t you going to Cornell? :)

i’ve been ■■■■■■■■ all the boards I applied to. :)

lol yeah i want to go to cornell. But I did not receive my FA packet yet, so idk if I can afford to attend. It should be coming in a few days.

But in case I want to go to Georgetown for higher level schooling then I want to keep good relations

I think that sounds like an amazing plan! Good luck! I’m sure things will work out for you!

Hope they don’t make us wait til June to let us know!

Probably not til June. From post of previous years it seems that Georgetown started mailing out decisions on 2/3 of May. SFS and MSB were a little later, I think.

most come around mid-may though—according to las year’s thread… honestly, i wish decision day were tomorrow. i can’t wait any longer! :(

I’m planning to apply to Georgetown MSB next year as a junior transfer. If I still have a 4.0 GPA by the time I transfer, would I have a good chance of getting in? (My SAT is a 1450/1600, if that’s important.)

Test scores become increasingly less important with each year you wait to apply for transfer.

So do you think I’d have a shot?

@ transfers

It depends on a whole lot of things, but on paper a 4.0 GPA would certainly be a good start.

after your interviewer interviews does he/she fill out some sort of form or rating scale?

I think they write about the interview and you and submit it to the adcom.

300th Post!

Yes, they write a report about their thoughts on you and usually send it in the day of the interview or the day after. The alumni that interviewed me actually explained everything she was required to do :)
