Deferred 1560/4.0 UW, NMSF, good EC’s, leadership roles, overall strong application. Applied to McDonough School of Business.

Anyone received an ED acceptance to GW this past week? Can you please share your GPA, SAT, EC, major, etc.?

My DS got in early for premed interest. 4.0 UW (5.0 weighted out of 5.0). 36 ACT. Relatively good public school in very competitive state. All State band in both piano and drums, and all state jazz ensemble piano. Started high volume community service club based around music. Interned at a medical school research lab for 2 summers. Marching band 4 years, including section leader. Actually got into Notre Dame early too same night. Now waiting for about 21 other applications come March and November. But he’s very excited about Georgetown.

Status: Deferred, but still holding out with hope. It’s our top choice because my daughter wants to be in the city, and the school’s service and community-focused mission fits her career goals. But very proud of her even if she doesn’t get in.

Unweighted GPA: 4.59 (Straight A’s all four years, many core academic APs, ranked 6th in her public school of 350 seniors)

SAT score: 1380

ECs: President, Secretary, and other leadership roles in global-minded clubs; tennis athlete; volunteer work; contest semi-finalist

Major: Accounting

Admitted, 4.44 W, 1490, Amazing ECs, Mathematics major

For those deferred, best of luck to everyone tomorrow!
