It should also be noted that I did not even send a letter of interest, transcript, updated resume, or anything like that. I was utterly yet pleasantly shocked that they admitted me

why do they admit people in different ways? some get calls, others get emails? seems random. and others get no news either way.
So at this point, given it’s after 6:00 p.m. East coast time, if there’s been no word by phone or email, one can assume no acceptance?
