A theoretical question. Take the track and field programs of both these schools. On the one hand you can go to Dartmouth as a recruited athlete and pay 30k per year, or you can go to Georgetown on a full scholarship, what’s the value proposition here? Thoughts?
Would choose Georgetown over Dartmouth even if the offers were identical.
Who is getting a full track scholarship to Georgetown?
Must be Usain Bolt’s dad.
Hard not to love Georgetown at that price. Do the recent allegations involving the G’Town track and field program give you pause?
At the same or similar price, I’d take Georgetown for SFS and Dartmouth for everything else.
But at a 4-year savings of $120,000 – Georgetown, no question.
All helpful replies, thanks so much. My son is a 17 year old 1 min 50 runner over 800 meters. In a similar vein if I restated the question 25k per year at Yale vs Georgrtown or Socal on a track scholarship? Appreciate any feedback.

No pause whatsoever. Coaches involved have a long record to stand on. Support from current and former runners is pouring in. G’town has an outstanding record for mid and long distance runners. XC results have been extremely good.
Accuser put herself out there and so I think its fair to give an honest look at her numbers. She ran some very nice PRs as a Junior, probably got some offers and signed before running as a Senior. Times were much slower as a Senior, then even slower in College. For those around T&F its pretty easy to assume what happened.
