Hi guys, this is a bit informal, but I just wanted to ask u if Gtech is worth the hype. Is it really that prestigious? I got into GTECH through the TIPP(Talent Initiative Program) . This is a guaranteed transfer pathway for students. I can transfer myself into Gtech with a guarantee into any major except cs in Fall 26( after one year). I want to take compE. Is that a good idea? Pls brief me on the career options and outcomes after graduation at Georgia Tech. Btw is have to leave my country and come to the USA for this, tell me how good this can be. I am usa citizen. Any opinion on this is fine. I hope you guys will share ur views on this.
What are your other options and costs for each option?

You have to go somewhere a year so don’t need to decide now.

You mean Fall 2027, correct? Assuming you meet the TIPP transfer criteria…3.5 GPA in your first year and no grades below a B.
You do have to complete the transfer app, typically due in Mid March. Tech doesn’t notify TIPP applicants until June/July, so you will have to register for second year classes at the school you start at.
Only you can decide if Tech is a good fit for you. Maybe you will love the school you attend this Fall and not want to transfer.
