I only got into my safeties so far. all my reach and target schools straight up rejected me (no waitlists or deferrals other than ga tech). I thought MAYBE ga tech would offer me summer admission, but now it looks like its over. damnnnnnn this college admissions process is brutal.
I know it seems devastating but everything happens for a reason. Don’t discount the safeties. I think college is what you make out of it. I am rooting for you but also know that these decisions don’t define who you are. I am sure you are a very hard working person with a great drive and will carry that with you no matter where you go!! Good luck! I really am wishing it turns out well for you!!

Guys i have a weird portal astro and tbh idk how to really explain it. so sometimes when I log into certain ga tech websites it gives me a list of “attributes” to be "released” to ga tech. now it usually is just this table with weird strings of numbers on the left and “values” on the right. the values are usually just my email and name and basic stuff like that, but theres one catagory that has these different tags of my account. now wallahi the tags before were just stuff like “undergrad-applicant” and nothing useful, but now i somehow got to the page and it says [member]. Idk i dont wanna get myself too like excited or something or wtvr but its odd. ima attatch a screenshot to show yall, maybe a cs major can help make sense of this.
Also below is the link, again no idea how i got to this page I was just clicking things in oscar. I dont think its a sign of admission, but if it somehow ends up helping someone (or honestly just calms nerves) it would be great!

for anyone reading this thread today that had a terrible admit year this year: i got a transfer pathway to tech and went through the process. i barely got in anywhere and i was bummed at first but i didn’t waste my time being sad. i saved money going to my cheapest option my freshman year, made friends, had fun, and worked super hard to transfer. i go to tech now, i have friends, i have a great internship, and i wouldn’t trade the experience for the world. i thought i was a complete failure at the end of high school because i had 14 (yes, 14!!!) waitlists and i felt i nothing to show for my hard work. but now i am doing better than i ever could have imagined! best of luck to you all and make the best of your situation no matter the outcome. go jackets!!
