My OOS DS deferred last cycle and was accepted during Regular Decision in late March. It can happen! Keep the faith.

We did, and DD is still undecided. We are OOS and she is waiting on UC and couple other schools.

Same here - DD went from deferred EA to accepted RD. She is doing extremely well and very happy. In 2025 the ‘acceptance’ rate for OOS deferred kids was just under 20% if I calculated correctly. So better chance that most deferrals.

Anyone know dates of admitted students day? Getting ahead of ourselves with a deferred OOS decision-but trying to plan other ones. Such a long wait!!

They had one last week and there is one this coming Monday but I assume they’ll announce more dates for the RD students.

So they didn’t announce the April ones for EA kids?

Not yet

Today, 7 weeks after EA acceptance as an OOS, was notified of winning the Provost Award. Cuts tuition down to in-state level. Huge surprise, and very welcome.

Yes, thank you, it puts GT back in the “viable” category.

Happy for you! In-state tuition is such a good deal here.

My daughter committed to GT! It was really the best choice out of her options, and she came to that conclusion on her own (thankfully, lol) – but it wasn’t the school she was in love with at first sight, so she’s still coming around to the idea.

Now to slog through the rest of senior year!
