The two programs have no connection as far as I know.
Just checked with a friend of mine whose kid got into GT as EA1 applicant. In the kidâs portal there is no award letter. The other classmates who were admitted in December had no award letter either under financial aid.
Stamps Semifinalists have not been announced yet.
Congratulations to your twins! They must have got a perfect score in either SAT or ACT. Hope they can advance into the finalists.
Thanks!! not counting on scholarships⊠getting into Georgia Tech will be awesome enough!
Agreed
Same here! Wish the program awarded money.
Hey can you please show what award letter you guys are talking about?
Thatâs for Stamps scholarship, no one on this forum has seen it yet.
oh okay thanks dude!
By the time GT rolls around to RD how much of the class is already filled with EA1 and EA2? Anyone know? I would assume itâs a large majority.
And are Stamps awards granted to RD applicants too?
No, the deadline to apply to be considered was the Early Action Deadline (1 or 2, depending on where you are from).
So does Stamps come out a week before EA2?
It has the last couple of years, but with the current Stamps timeline this may not be the case this year. No one has reported getting EA2 notifications early due to Stamps yet that I have seen.
Are they looking in Oscar. It is not in the admissions portal.
Hi ,
I donât see any registration tab in GT Account passport home page. where do we find that?
Not sure about last year, but I gathered the numbers from 2 years ago, when my son applied.
Fallâ22
applied: 50,610
admitted: 8,672 (~ 17% of # applied)
enrolled: 3,650 (~ 42% of # admitted)
Waiting list Fallâ22
applicants offered a place in waitlist: 7,122
applicants accepting a place in waitlist: 4,903
wait-listed students admitted: 41 (~ 0.8% of # accepting)
EA1 (In-state) Results:
applied: ~ 6,100
admitted: 2,399 (~39% of # applied)
EA2 (Out-of-state) Results:
applied: ~ 25,000
admitted: ~ 2,900 (~ 12% of # applied)
RD Results:
applied: ~ 19,510
admitted: ~ 3,373
(# admitted includes students who were deferred from EA1 & EA2 plus new applicants from RD)
So the 25000 EA2 applicants include transfer applicants who has 13% admission rate. if excluding them, the rate among fresh applicants is > 12%, maybe 15%ish for EA2.
No, all these numbers involve first-year students only. The students who were offered the Transfer Pathways instead of direct admission, can start classes at some other university, and have guaranteed acceptance when they apply as a transfer to GTech after 1+ years (depending on program and provided the requirements are met).
