Same for us too. We filled in all forms and don’t have “Required reading” message. We dont qualify for any financial aid, so could be the reason. Having “Required reading” message does look promising but not having this message doesn’t look like a bad thing as financial aid updates can be different for students
If I select feb 8th event to sign up, it does not allow me. Says it is only for admitted students. So can everyone sign up for this if you click on the “Ignite admitted first year”?
When you go to the GT Admissions portal (not Oscar), what happens when you click on 2/28 Civil Environmental Admitted Students Info?
We get access denied. Most of the other admitted sessions say they are for admitted students only, is getting access denied there a bad sign?
FWIW, applied as engineering but not those majors.
We get the same thing.
Got denied message. All the admitted students links will be denied for us now, I think they will only work couple hours before, not before days
We completed all forms as well. But we don’t qualify for aid either.
no, i don’t
I don’t directly have any input to your question but my daughter is sort of in same boat and comparing between UT Austin CS and Georgia Tech CS. Both are great, she is going by comparing the cyber concentration between them. She is checking number of courses they are offering in cyber, curriculum, professors, class size, outside of college opportunities etc. currently through their website. And once we know the Admission for GTech then she will go further in comparison I guess
I wonder if the REQUIRED READING message will only throw for those would qualify/receive aid if admitted.
For ex I have the message and would definitely qualify for Pell etc
Any of you/your kids qualify but not have the msg?
Or anyone that definitely wouldn’t get aid have the msg?
Might not necessarily mean I get admitted but finaid might’ve already flagged me as a potential recipient if that makes sense.
We don’t qualify for aid (Pell grant for sure) and don’t have the required reading message. We did all the three things required by GT financial aid.
Same with us.
GA Tech is not need blind for OOS. Fafsa and CSS are only required if you checked the box for financial aid.
is anyone here that still doesn’t see the financial aid section on oscar?
When I go to GT login
it goes to
You have successfully logged into the GT Central Authentication Service.
i dont understand what is this
Don’t have the REQUIRED READING message but would not quality for Pell. Filled out the CSS and FAFSA because we had already filled out for other schools and added GT, but don’t expect federal financial aid beyond the standard student loan.
What are the usual acceptance, deferral, and rejection rates for GT’s EA2?
If anyone knows, do they pull a UMich and defer 99% of internationals?
This is us as well. We had already completed FAFSA and CSS but are not expecting any aid. It seems as if everyone who has responded is seeing “My Offers” with or without the “Required Reading.” So I don’t think it means anything.
I understand UT Austin CS - Turing Program is amazing. But otherwise, Georgia Tech CS is considered better than UT Austin CS. Someone I know completed the CS Undergrad in 2.5 years at GTech (AP credits etc). In terms of Internships etc, Google and NVDA amongst others have set up centers close to G Tech. On the other hand, Tesla / Neuralink and Oracle have set up shop neat UT Austin.
Last year’s data for EA2 was 9% accept and around 50% deny. I think they defer around 20% and then offer some conditional pathway acceptances.
That is insane lmao. This also kind of confuses me as an international student. CDS shows ~10% AR for us, I’d assume it would be significant higher in EA2, no?
