I’ve done some research and Georgia Tech’s CS program seems really difficult. Would it be better to go to UG and get a better grade? And which one would be easier to get a job with Microsoft, Apple, etc. And what kind of grades do you need to get a job there>
Getting a job in computer science does not completely (or even mostly) depend on grades.
I know companies like Mircosoft and Apple recruit from GA Tech. I don’t know if they recruit from UGA. If Hope is needed to make college affordable you might want to go to UGA. GA Tech is known as the place where Hope goes to die. lol
Thanks, also… do those companies also hire Computer Hardware engineers? Or do they mostly focus on Computer Science majors?
They hire in both fields and, believe me, they know there is substantial grade deflation at GATech. If you were my child, I would urge you to attend GATech, assuming finances work for both.
But you will need to work hard to succeed in that field no matter where you attend. Any engineering program is rigorous, make no mistake.
