GERM or CLAS 279

Does anyone have any knowledge of the class “Fairy Tales and Childhood” (GERM 279, xl CLAS 279)? It is taught by Eric Downing. I couldn’t find a course description or syllabus. The only info I found was that it was offered as a FYS last spring and is now a full course. I want to take it as one of my supplemental education courses.

If you do have any info, what I’m wondering is;
-Is it difficult, easy, interesting, etc.?
-Do I need any German background, or is it just listed under GERM?

Thanks!

I’m taking it in the fall! :slight_smile: I asked one of the advisors at CTOPS last week about it, and she said that the course is new, so there won’t be a syllabus available for a little while online. It is cross-listed with CMPL 279 (comp. lit; it’s the version I signed up for), so I’m almost certain that no German background is necessary. It just sounds interesting!
