German Major Transfer from U of Oregon to UC Berkeley

<p>Hello
Transferring from U Oregon to UC Berkeley.</p>

<p>California Resident (was born in California) I even live 20 minutes away from UC Berkeley!</p>

<p>Hispanic/First Generation
Junior
GPA: 3.25</p>

<p>Now I am a German major. I have also studied abroad in Germany for one term and have a GPA of 3.50 if you count only my German courses. I have also finished more then 60 semester units.
I have finished all of the requirements that a CC transfer student would have to finish as well.</p>

<p>I am on my third year level of German even though this is technically my second year in terms of time.</p>

<p>In addition the German program at UC Berkeley is very prestigious and looks like a place where i could fit in and prosper better then at the U of Oregon.</p>

<p>What are the chances of a German major?</p>

<p>The 25th to 75th percentile of Fall 2010 Berkeley transfers was 3.75-3.80. I’m not aware of how competitive German is at Berkeley but generally for selective majors you have to have an astounding GPA.</p>
