So I’m about to be past the allotted time to get my engineering degree. I have about 8 classes left required for that degree. . I was told that they will be giving me a Bachelor’s in General studies instead once I’m past this time limit and to apply for a second bachelor’s degree. Everything sounds fine from what they told me but I would like to get some feedback on others. Is it necessary for me to change? I was told they do this so the school can say that I graduated within the time frame from what I remember being told over the phone. I’m guessing I have no choice as if I don’t change my major, I won’t be able to continue school since I’m past the time limit.
