Getting a Perfect Score on the Math Section of the SAT

Hello,

I love math and it is my goal to get a perfect score on the math section of the SAT. I have always gotten top scores in my math classes, but when I take the SAT practice tests, my math score is what brings my entire test down. I have taken Saxon Pre-Algebra, Saxon Algebra 1, Saxon Algebra 2, and geometry. I will start Saxon Advanced Mathematics this summer. Despite Saxon’s rigorous curriculum, the math portion of the SAT just goes straight over my head.

I have already started watching a thorough video on working with a calculator, so I think I’ll have that down by this fall. The grid-ins are the worst.

I would love to get to a point where I am confident in this portion of the test. I will be grateful for any tips!
