To current WashU students: Have you ever disagreed with a grade you got on a test, assignment, etc. and got the professor to change it? If yes, has that ever led to a change in your grade in the class for the semester? If no, do you know of any classmates or other friends that did get a grade changed?
How open are the professors to that kind of discussion? Does it vary among departments?

Thanks!

You seem way too concerned about something that isn’t a big deal. If you are a prospective student, you should not consider this as a factor in your decision process because it will be the same anywhere you look.

No professor will deny you any points you earned as long as you follow the proper regrade procedure (varies by professor but typically is just a deadline).

Yes, I’ve gotten a grade changed once they were posted. This was because something was recorded incorrectly in the telesis gradebook, not nitpicking over some trivial points here and there.

Don’t even think of bothering your teacher if it’s something that can be subjective (ie grade on an essay, partial credit on a math problem, etc). You’ll just annoy them.
