<p>I was wondering how someone can get credit for research that they do.</p>
<p>I’ve heard some people can do MCDB 300 in order to get credit.</p>
<p>How would you be able to register for this type of class? Do you need to get someone in the faculty to read over the journals or something like that?</p>
<p>It’s easier than that… you just need to find a research mentor to sponsor you… then it’s done. You’ll do research (hopefully) and basically work in the lab - at the end of the term, they assign you a grade.</p>
<p>But, can I do this just by asking my UROP sponsore about continuing the project and working in the Summer?</p>
<p>Wouldn’t I have to ask a professor from the department for MCDB 300 though?</p>
