<p>I got a bad grade on a final that I studied a lot for. It ended up dropping my grade to a D which might be getting me rescinded from berkeley. I want to see the final and I feel like I deserve to since it has the potential to have such a huge effect on me. I asked the teacher and she said I could see it, in September. Do I have any grounds to get the final back now or do I just have to go with what the teacher says?</p>
<p>she probably said you could see it in September because that’s when she’ll be back at school. You don’t have grounds to see it.</p>
<p>Truthfully most teacher are not vindicative and it really doesn’t serve a purpose for them to mis-grade your final.</p>
<p>You could explain your situation and see if she has mercy on you. Although it’s been a long time since grades has been out, i don’t know how much that will help.</p>
<p>I didn’t think she’s out to get me or anything like that. I just want to see how it is possible that I got such a bad grade on a test that I spent so much time studying for.</p>

<p>I’m sure she will let you see it, like she said…but seeing it now, I mean–she does have vacation time and you have to respect that. There’s no “rule” or anything that makes the professor show it to you because you got a less than stellar grade. I actually know and have had some professors who don’t want their students to see the final again, just for confidentially issues.</p>
<p>yeah try to see it! my professor gave me a B in a class that was a pre-req for my major and i made an appt to see him and check out my exam. turns out there was a mistake made on his end and hes going to change my grade to an A now.</p>

<p>I heard that it’s legally required for a prof to hang onto a final for 3 years. not certain how true this is though. Heard it from my finite math prof in CC.</p>
<p>I heard back already and didn’t get rescinded actually but I know it’s not good but all my other grades were very good and it wasn’t required.</p>
