getting in? because reading these other forums has made me lose confidence

So, i’ve realized i’ve made a huge mistake during my high school career by not taking my grades more seriously. But it’s crunch time, i am going into my senior year and college apps are just around the corner. unweighted i have a 3.2 and weighted i have a 3.5. i’ve taken many honors and APs my sophomore and junior year. i’m pretty embarassed but i’ll post my grades
AP World C, A
French 2 A, A
H Alg 2 C, C
H English C, C
Leadership A, A
Soccer A
Computers A

AP Chemistry B, B
French 3 B, B
AP English Lang C, B
Math Analysis B, B
Leadership A, A
AP US History B, B

so as you can tell, i tried to take challenging classes i just dont think i took them seriously enough. however, my ecs are a completely different story. i’m probably the most involved student in my entire school. I am student body president, but before that i was student body vp, junior president, and sophomore president. in addition i am president/founder of a campus club that builds houses with an international organization. i am also in 7 different clubs. i love to help! i also have two jobs, one being an intern at a hospital and the other at a clothing store. i played soccer on my school’s team for 2 years (soccer really took a toll on my sophomore grades!, there was just no time to study i quit for that reason). i also volunteer at a hospital… i am trying to think what else i do. My days are jam packed, i am always involving myself in something to better the community! Oh also, i rank in the top 12 percent of my class? i think it might be a little higher now… also, my sat scores were average… i am going to take the act in september, but believe me when i say i will study my butt off, i am aiming for gold!

Anyway so my question is where can i get in?
my dream school was berkeley, but at this point i feel so discouraged.
i’ve been looking at UC santa cruz, santa barbara. also, northeastern, bu, boston college, umass amherst, syracuse, uconn, and a few others i cant think of at this point.

My father was out of a job for several months and that really took a toll on my family, so i am going to need financial aid, scholarships, etc.

i’m mexican american so i’m hoping there will be scholarships opportunities for me.

let me know if there are other schools you think would be a viable option for me!
i’d appreciate all the help i can get!

also, i live in california… i dont if that info helps at all.

okay, hope this post works out, thanks!

sorry but I think even as an in-state applicant Berkley is out of reach…:frowning: Maybe you can apply as a transfer. You need to work REALLY HARD on your SAT, to make up for subpar GPA. I think Santa Barbara,Northeastern, Syracuse is a low reach, yet you will most likely get into Santa Cruz. UConn, and Umass is also a low reach, but you need to be a strong applicant since your out-of-state. Boston University and Boston College are a reach, its possible you can get in. Work Really Hard to get your GPA up, and write a short paragraph explaining your low GPA. GOOD LUCK!!

My GPA sucks thanks to me being sick/absent a whole month this year, and pulling my grades up after that was pretty much impossible…my cumulative is a crappy 3.3. I planned to have a 3.6/3.7 UW but that completely screwed my plan. ROCK your ACT, and try taking the SAT again. You probably can get yourself in the 2000s+. You, like me, are a URM so that gives you something (but not a lot). Make sure you work hard on your essays, get great recs, and have awesome ECs. Work hard on your application and make sure your only weakness is your GPA - everything else should be as strong as possible. I think you will have a decent chance at most of the schools you are looking at.
