So I got into my dream school. However, 2 days ago I got caught with holding SUORIN, also known as vaporizer. I wasn’t using it I was just holding my friend’s then security came in and caught me.
I got one day In School Suspension, that was it. I didn’t get out of school suspension or anything else.
Do I have to notify the college that I got into? because my assistant principal told me I don’t have to but I just want to make sure of this!! thank you
I hope you learned an important lesson. From the time my kids were in middle school, I told them I would not accept excuses such as, “I was holding it for a friend.” That’s nonsense. I said even if it’s your friends holding something but they’re in the same car as you, that’s a problem. Even if you’re telling the truth, it’s a stupid thing to do.
In general, yes you must notify colleges.

Eh
Ask your guidance counselor if this will appear on your final transcript. If so you should get out in front of it.
If you’ve already submitted the application and gotten in, then I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s just a minor speed bump. I would be more careful though because if you commit more infractions then it could become a big enough issue to report
Talk to your GC and read your acceptance notification. Even if you did report it, this is not the type of thing I would see them rescinding an acceptance over.
Just ask guidance. Your school may deem it more like detention, which is not disclisable.
