I’m just wondering if my chances of transferring to a UC is higher with a physics physics major or a history major? I have been a chemistry major for the last two years of community college and I’ve had a few Cs, which made my GPA become 2.93. I’m thinking of switching to a history major, something that I am also very interested in, if it means my chances of getting into the school would be higher. Does it matter?
Other than Merced, I don’t think it will matter. At Merced though - you are TAG eligible for Soc Science, Natural Scienc but not Engineering.
Earned a minimum GPA of 2.8 for majors in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts (a GPA of 3.0 is required for Psychology), a 2.9 for majors in the School of Natural Sciences and a 3.0 for majors in the School of Engineering.
Choose carefully and be sure to follow the TAG framework and process.
