If you sift through the forums, someone else was asking about UC’s, and I posted an in-depth response there.
Don’t have time right now to dig it up, but the gist of it is, UC’s are number-happy. Get a good GPA, decent test scores, you’re in. EC’s don’t really matter at all. As long as you have some, the quality doesn’t matter that much. Because, honestly, they have too many applicants to care, and they’re mainly limited to west coast, so they don’t usually deal with the MOST competitive. You shouldn’t have too much of a problem, do well on your SAT’s and you should be set.

If you live in CA, you should get in.

Im guessing they weight all honors and ap courses for the average gpa on this page whereas the 4.17 in the UC booklet is the Uc Gpa
correct
