Gpa is too low. Even if you applied early I would say reject/defer.
I agree your GPA is pretty low for Brown. Try to get your ACT up to at least a 33. Also, a letter of recommendation from the principal sounds prestigious, but I honestly don’t think it’ll help too much. How much does your principal know you personally? It is better to get a personalized letter from the school janitor than a generic one from the administration.
Being a legacy may push your application when you are on the brink of acceptance, but it won’t make up for low grades.
You are very accomplished, and there are many fine schools that will be keen to admit you. Brown will not likely be one of them. Your grades are simply too low, even for ED acceptance with legacy, and your ACT isn’t sufficiently in range, unless you’re a URM. However, you will be poised for admission, likely with generous scholarship, to several other schools, so I would get over the top 15 craze that everyone seems to go through and start looking at realistic schools for you (to give a metric, somewhere in the 20-30% acceptance rate range for matches, 40% plus acceptance for ‘safeties’).
Would you have any chance of being recruited for football or track?
