Where are you applying from, for which grade? How are your grades and standardized test scores? Will you need financial aid? Why Lawrenceville?

I am applying from Maryland. I am applying to go into Lawrenceville as a freshman this year. I will need financial aid, and I pick Lawrenceville because of the Harkness model and their amazing Matriculations. Additionally my test scores right now are at:

Verbal Reasoning: 8
Reading Comp: 8
Quantitative Reasoning:7
Math achievement: 6

I would suggest that you case a wide net in the application process, rather than specifically focusing on a single school - many wonderful boarding schools out there!

Oh yes I am also applying to other boarding schools! I just wanted to get a feel for my application. Do you have any tips on how to make my application better? Also based on people who have gotten into Lawrenceville, What have you done on your application? Also Thank you for the feedback so far.

Uh is that ISEE

Sorry for responding late. Yes it is

Hello, just wanted to say your application is amazing and you are the type of person they would want. Good luck and I hope you get in!

Thank you!

Have you done any advanced course work? Or standard 8th grade curriculum? Getting in is one thing but make sure you are clear about the course curriculum requirements for these boarding schools. Exeter and Choate will evaluate your academic history to make sure you don’t repeat courses. The rest will force you to repeat courses. Maybe more of a concern for transfers. If you need time for private lessons or participation in sports/music etc. it will be very tough.

Yes, I do Kumon which I guess isn’t a course but I’m above my grade level right now

I am ok with repeating courses as I like repetition, if you have any tips, I would greatly appreciate it!

Also, alot of people know about me applying to lawrenceville. How do I backtrack?
