A lot.

It’s all in context. If you go to a highly competitive HS with grade deflation and your GPA is in the top decile, maybe your GPA won’t matter as much. If you you to Central Podunk High, and your GPA is in the 4th decile, then your GPA will be an issue. You can google the Common Data Sets for these colleges and see how your GPA compares.
