Hey guys, well I’m currently a Senior and UCI is my first choice!

My intended major is Business Information Management. (BIM?) From what I’ve heard, the Paul Merge school is EXTREMELEY selective and difficult to get into. Something like 15-20 students per academic year (incl. transfers) get accepted per major, and you have to apply as a freshmen, and again spring of Sophomore year.

Can anyone give me more information on this? Isn’t this pretty much the same as UC Berkeley and their business program then?

So Business Administration is actually the more competitive major. BIM is half computer science, half business courses and the school of Information & Computer Science advises for it. if you don’t like computer science… stay away from it! I think it’s a great major though and has a lot of opportunities. I think it’s still competitive but I don’t know how much because it seems like not as many people are interested in it.

There’s been a few other threads on BIM if you wanted to look it up though
