Getting into Pratt without any major science etracurriculars

Is this possible??

Most of my extracurriculars are focused toward economics/business (interned at microfinance form, observed a sweatshop in bangladesh, 2 jobs). Basically i wanted to major in economics–> get a ibanking/consulting job. Long story short, economics bored me and i found out that i was chasing the lifestyle of an ibanker (just the nyc part) more than the work itself and have been neglecting my true interests, science.

Anyways, i really only have one science extracurricular in which i am researching/tracking turtles and their patterns with my teachers.

I was just admitted into Pratt from their waitlist without any sort of science extracurricular at all. I competed at my school’s Math Team in HS…but that’s it.

So I guess it’s possible, but I’m sure it’ll help a whole lot if you participated in science internships/activities.

Yeah, all I had that was Math/Science related was Math Team (though I didn’t even make it to AIME) and I got in. But I also had a 4.0 GPA and a 2310 SAT, so take that as you will.

i got into pratt with a 2260 SAT and a 4.41 W GPA and i was president of Mu Alpha Theta but other than that no math/science ECs. all of my stuff was like charity stuff or theater.
but then again i am a girl. but yeah.
its possible.
just work on your essays.
they count for more than you think.
