<p>for any current UM students:</p>

<p>how difficult is it to get a 3.5 freshman year, taking basic intro courses like Econ, Calc, ect</p>

<p>3.5 would be borderline. I would say a 50% chance of admission. A 3.5 GPA taking reasonably challenging classes along with an excellent essay and good ECs would improve chances. The average GPA is 3.63.</p>
