<p>Texas A&M has automatic admission criteria beyond the top 10% (something like top 25% with SAT CR+M >= 1300 with each of CR and M >= 600). UT Austin has only top 7% automatic admission. If you do not qualify for automatic admission, the school is probably a reach, since most of the class is taken up by automatic admits.</p>
