Getting pwned in AP Language Multiple Choice

In AP English, we all took a multiple, and I got a 72%. This isn’t too great when combined with my essay scores, and I definitely need to get up to about 85% if want to get a 5. Is there anything I can do starting now to help me raise my MC percentage? By the way, it probably isn’t due to incompetence, because I usually get perfect or near perfect score on critical reading.

I honestly think that the only way you can effectively raise your score is by completing as many practice tests as you are capable of completing. The AP test questions are of course going to differ slightly-if not vastly-in style from the questions on the critical reading portion of the SAT. (Or so my APLC teacher says…)
Do you know what percentage you have to get on MC questions and the essay grades in order to earn a 5?

Yes, I have the formula, and I’m either going to have to do about 2 better on both of the rhetorical analysis/synthesis essays, or increase them by 1 each and get an 85% on the multiple choice. Do you have any recommendations for good practice books?

I have exactly the same problem! Do the Cliffnotes books help with MC?

Practice tests. Simple.

If you look at SAT results, you’ll notice that the more times the person takes the SAT, the higher their score, why is that?

Practice tests and simulations are just about the best practice you can get. Do some searches on google.

Have a look at this chart, its based on scientific research on how people learn and remember.
