hi.
I want to major in engineering at lehigh.
while I have a decent 740 on SAT Math, I took easily calc this year and opted for ap bio instead of ap physics. I am worried that I may not be able to handle the math in college. Can anyone give me some suggestions for classes I can take to improve my quant skills at the local community college this summer? thanks. should I brush up on my c++ skills if I am doing industrial engineering?

also, how hard is the math in college?

The difficulty of the math in college depends on a mixture of the college and professor. Many of the concepts in calculus and differential equations are not difficult, but the professor may be inclined to give you very hard problems.

AP bio? You’d better go with physics. You will be required to take two or three physics courses in engineering. My high school physics course sucked and it hurt me bad in college.

It’s always good to have solid programming skills. The standard programming language will vary among colleges. Some use C++ in programming courses, while others may use Java. Matlab is also a popular program. It’s best to be able to write algorithms and then be able to apply it to various languages.

thanks for the info. yeah, I better get ready for summer school. heh.
