I’ll be applying as a transfer student during my freshmen year for transfer into my sophomore year. My school follows the quarter system (3 terms a year, each term is 10 weeks long) so I was wondering, will those first 10 weeks be long enough for professors to get to know me well enough to right amazing recs? What should I do to make sure they know me and I stand out?

They’re gonna have to be, you don’t have another choice.

First, try to get into some smaller classes than the usual fr into courses. If your school has fr seminars, take one. If you test out at a higher level for something like a foreign language or math, take an upper level course. Then, participate in class, earn a top grade and visit your prof/instructor/TA during office hours to discuss projects, questions, etc.
