Hey guys! I recently got accepted to a T5 (US News rankings) university, and I’m super excited to have gotten in as a first-gen. I’ve always been a straight-A student, with 2 A-minuses in AP classes. I also got straight A’s quarter 1 of senior year with an A- in AP Physics (yay!). However, my teacher removed a policy that makes it so all quiz/test retakes can only earn up to an 80 percent, and I HEAVILY relied on those first quarter to get an A-. Is it likely that I would be rescinded from my T5 if I end up getting a B- or C+ in AP Physics during quarter 2? I’m on track to get an A in 4 other AP classes this year.
What conditions of admission does your admission offer list?
It would generally be considered highly unlikely for a US college or university to rescind for a senior year record of 4 A grades and 1 B or C grades in courses listed as in progress at the time of application.
Good for them
Highly unlikely. But depending on the university, you may get a letter asking for an explanation and plan for improvement. If that happens, don’t blame the change in grading policy
Highly unlikely this will be an issue. Work to keep year end grades in B (or better) range.
And congrats on the acceptance!
Not going to happen.
Congrats and good luck.
