<p>We’ve got fleas in our house. We don’t have any pets so we assume that we are bringing them in from the yard after we do yardwork. Suggestions on getting rid of them? My ankles will appreciate it.</p>
<p>Call a pest control service! We had a similar situation (no pets at that time), and called the pros to take care of the buggers. In 2 hours, our nightmare was over.</p>
<p>Agree…call asap, they reproduce FAST! May have to be treated more than once.</p>
<p>Diatomaceous Earth (food grade)- sprinkle it on surfaces throughout house, in your garden, on your dog. Once a week for a couple of weeks to break the cycle.
It is the most effective non-toxic remedy.</p>
<p>I really like diatomaceous earth. We’ve never had fleas but we use it to keep bugs out in general by putting it around the foundation and baseboards. I’d add that to your general routine but call professionals to deal with your current infestation.</p>
