Getting worried about Herkimer...

In March, I applied as a non-matriculated student for the summer course that starts May 22nd at Herkimer County Community College. I haven’t gotten any notifications as of yet, other than the letter they sent me regarding my email. I set it up, but still haven’t gotten anything regarding what to do next. I also applied for the fall semester.

As an added note, they did send me a confirmation email and list a few things such as register for classes, obtain textbooks, pay bills, attend/log in courses, etc. but I don’t think those were part of the confirmation page.

Also, my family is moving soon and I really need to go before it’s too late.

Here’s what they’ve said in their most recent email:

“You would no longer receive information from the Admissions Office as you last applied for a program in Spring 2017, but I see you did submit a non-matriculated application for summer. The Registrar’s Office processed that application on March 27th, and you may follow the instructions provided upon submission.”

They gave me their phone number also.

Regarding the letter they only sent me about my email:

“That would be all they sent was the original email after submission.  It provides a few steps and a link to the next steps.  The easiest thing to do is call them; they will assist with registration.”

I’ve followed everything based on that email and have my email ready, but still no update on what to do next.

Call them

@iubaccounting They’re only around from 8am to 4pm.

But yeah, I’ll call them.

Super specific issue, make time to call them imo

Unfortunately, they wouldn’t accept me since their semester is online. I tried Fulton-Montgomery this week as mentioned in another thread, but they only gave me one day to take the placement exams, but I could take it due to weather (it was raining all day; thunderstorm at night) and we were moving, though the former may be applicable.

My only option left now is SUNY Broome, where the summer course starts june 5th, but can’t be applied online for some reason. I hope I can make it. Do you guys think I can?

Have you tried MVCC?

@NASA2014 What’s that?

Mohawk Valley Community college

SUNY Plattsburgh has online summer classes for non matrics. One of my son is enrolled this summer. There are 3 sessions. His is beginning on June 5.

@techmom99 Oh my. That sounds great. Unfortunately, you said online. Are there any other schools or SUNYs that offer on-campus housing along with summer courses? Not to mention, will I be able to be accepted in time once I apply?
