Giant Dreams, Midget Abilities

^^that’s why I’m worried
She’s a pretty bad writer

Most liberal arts colleges have small classes and more females than males. She has the stats to get into most of them. The only ones she has next to no chance at are the ones like Williams, Amherst and Davidson, which are the very top LACs.

In considering colleges, she also needs to find out what her parents’ financial constraints are. There are many colleges that would be happy to accept her. The question is whether she could afford them particularly since most colleges that would meet her criteria are private.

Places like Simmons, Skidmore, Earlham, Wells, and Emmanuel are among the many colleges that would fit her criteria. She also needs to consider what part of the country she’d like to live in and whether she wants to be in a rural or urban environment.

OHKID–Colby is USNWR #22, not “90-ish”.

Clark U., Worcester, MA

Elon fits with what she wants but she is very unlikely to be what they are looking for. They occasionally look beyond just grades for a student that shows exceptional talent and community involvement. I would think that the student you described (3.3 with no vol. and no ec.) has about no chance at Elon. Sorry.

Kalamazoo and UNC - Asheville would probably be more reachy than Knox. Hanover stands out on that list as a possibly very good fit, although I believe it leans slightly towards men.

“She’s a pretty bad writer” - UNC-Asheville is known as a writers school. Even if she got in she would not likely be happy. How about if she tells you a little more about what she wants other than small classes and less Boys. I think people are trying to be helpful but there are thousands of schools that would likely make her happy.

Why do you say midget abilities as a bad thing. Seems pretty low to compare yourself negatively to someone with a disability. I mean its totally ■■■■■■■■
