geez, xiggi, man up. If you can’t take the stress, I know a good chick flick you can watch. / jk

I thought the announcers said it wasn’t a touchdown because the player who caught the ball wasn’t facing the right direction (shoulders turned?), towards the goalposts, before it was stripped? But I know next to nothing about football.

With under 2 minutes to go only the officials can call a challenge. The coach can not challenge at that point.

But they automatically reviewed it, didn’t they, tom? So a challenge wouldn’t have made them review it twice anyway, right?

They only automatically review all touchdowns. Since it was not ruled a touchdown on the field the replay official would have had to call for a review prior to the next snap.

I didn’t realize it was within the two-minute window. That’s what I get for not paying attention. still, it looked like a catch to me.

Lee Evans was a little “nonchalant” after catching that pass in the end zone. He should have protected the ball by getting down on the ground instead of being upright and exposing the ball.

Vernon Davis sure made two boneheaded penalties in the first half and Alex Smith missed a wide open Williams who got behind his defender. I think they will have that opportunity to throw deep in the 2nd half. The Giants seem to be loading up the box, daring Smith to throw on them.

The game does not stress me out. Not at all. I’d just hate to see a Giants victory and have to listen to more Manning praises.

And it is an awful game so far. Even the LSU-Bama was better, and that says it all.

I hate, hate, hate it when one of the players is injured.

Back to the Patsies… speaking of calls that were not reversed. The dive into the end zone on the Raven touchdown looked iffy. Furthermore, Belichick missed asking for a sideline review on a reception on the sideline in the first half. Overall, it seemed there were lots of little glitchy things.

I had just watched The Blind Side before the game… glad Oher is okay (though of course also glad the Patsies WON!). I hope they play against Manning. I think that Brady plays better when the other QB has been getting the attention.

Good game! Waiting for 49ers.

Good grief, how much luck can ateam have in one season? Giants stole another one.

Hallelujah!

Two very lucky teams into the superbowl

Two new teams this year. I kind of wanted an east coast matchup in the middle of the country once my team lost. Indy??? But the weather can’t be worse than last year in Dallas and the problems had by too many fans.

My husband disagrees, but I don’t think the 49ers will ever get to the Super Bowl with Alex Smith as quarterback. I love Frank Gore, but he isn’t enough. As for the Super Bowl, I don’t care either way particularly. (Gah, and I live in Raider territory!)

Giants make their luck. ridiculous calls against them last week, by all accounts, yet they walloped the 15-1 defending champs. That ain’t luck. What they are now, finally, is almost healthy. And Manning is the best–fantastic quarterback and all around nice guy. But I may have to get a Victor Cruz jersey and learn how to salsa.

Niners were 1 for 13 on 3rd down, 2 mishandled punts by Kyle Williams (Ginn Jr.'s backup), and then they couldn’t move the ball in OT. Nevertheless, they made it a close game that they very easily could have won.

Both offensives were stifled–I guess someone had to win eventually.

And the luckiest did. Too bad for Harbaugh. His returner gave the game away to the Giants. And that is pure luck.
