Gift for a Law School Grad

The daughter of a dear friend is graduating from a NYC law school in a few weeks, and will then study for the bar before starting work at one of the big NYC law firms.

I’d like to get her a gift in the $100-150 range. She’s not leaving law school with big debts, and already has a NYC apartment. She’ll be fine financially.

She’s a foodie.

Any suggestions on a gift in this price range?

I give Mont Blanc pens.

I would suggest a nice leather case for business cards.

How about something like this? http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/longchamp-veau-card-holder/3233740?origin=keywordsearch&resultback=2309

SeamlessWeb gift card.

My lawyer brother likes his underarm leather folder, legal size, for a quick trip to take in just a few documents into court, when he doesn’t need the huge briefcase. I was sorry that this was about $50 above your top; perhaps it’s findable from another company, a little less costly.[Briefcase641-5, ROYCE LEATHER DELUXE UNDERARM ENVELOPE](http://www.royceleathergifts.com/UI/Briefcase-ROYCE-LEATHER-DELUXE-UNDERARM-ENVELOPE.aspx?ptype=3&mcid=112&pcid=112&ccid=112&pid=33)

I saw others that were around $60 [Document Envelopes](http://www.royceleathergifts.com/UI/ProductsListing.aspx?mcid=116&pcid=116&ccid=116) for a single-document of legal size, with a string tie. I wish I could find something in-between in price… I was using “legal” as searchword in some leather companies.

Before I give leather to a young person today, I ask family first if they’re troubled by owning something from a cow.

Programmable rice cooker…she can wake up every morning and have toasty warm oatmeal ready to eat.
