Gift Ideas for male graduate

The inlaws are asking for ideas for a college grad gift for my S. They would like to give an actual gift not money. Any good ideas?

Good question! I’d like to get some ideas, too.

My parents had my son’s degree framed.

My sister is purchasing a Zipcar[/url”>http://www.zipcar.com/sf/check-rates]Zipcar annual membership for my son, who will be selling his car when he moves to San Francisco.

Grandparents of several here are buying luggage sets, at the suggestion of the grads.

Itunes gift cards are always appreciated. Besides music/videos for their iPod, if they have and iPhone or iPad, the Itunes cards can be used to buy Apps.

How about a roth IRA. I believe it can be used later on as a down payment for a house.

In lieu of cash, how about a few shares of a particular stock that is related to the graduate’s degree

someone on another thread talked about a family tradition of belt buckles from Tiffany’s.

The stock or Roth IRA idea might work. I will suggest it to the grandparents.
I don’t think any of my kids would want their diploma framed as a gift.
Keep the ideas coming. The biggest problem is this is a no frills kid.
