I’m graduating this year and I don’t know what to give to my world history teacher. she is one of the best teachers I ever had and she wrote me a recommendation that helped me get a scholarship and get into my college. I was planning to give her the thank you card along with something from africa but it doesnt look like I’ll have enough time before it gets here. I feel really guilty and stupid not have given her the card earlier like in January but yea… what are some good/creative gifts that I should get her?

Something like this would be neat:

A world Map
or KIMCHI

What about a surprise delivery of flowers to her classroom? It would be a nice gesture of public appreciation for her above-and-beyond efforts.

Better late than never. My S graduated yesterday and still has not given the teachers who wrote recs for him thank you notes. I could kill him. I told him last night that if he gets nothing else done today he is getting those thank you notes written. Plus other notes to teachers who have made a difference in his life over the years.

But, back to your question about a gift. If you want to order a gift that won’t get here before you are done with school, go ahead and do that but give your teacher the thank you note now. IMO, I think the note is appreciated much more than the gift, especially if it is heartfelt.

Teachers drink and party alot so if you get her a bottle of something hard she will like it. Or wine. Teachers pretend they are all good and proper in class but they party like there’s no tomorow and i know it.
