<p>Just curious about this, we would like to bring a gift to the master of D’s college but don’t know if that is done or not.</p>
<p>That’s a nice gesture. I’m sure he/she would appreciate the thought. My masters and their wives were great and always did a lot for us students (especially those far from home)</p>
<p>And what is the expected dress at the master’s tea for student and parent? Is this casual, as it is likely I will have packing tape trailing behind me, stuck to my shoe, or should we plan to freshen up significantly?</p>
<p>Thinking back, I’d say people were dressed business casual. No jeans, but no need to get very dressed up either.</p>
