<p>I was in Gifted Enrichment for fresh/soph (that’s the whole thing). We were inducted (right word?) by some wierd test before freshmen year we were invited to. Only about 20-30 kids.</p>
<p>Question is, how does that look on an app?</p>
<p>The mere fact that you participated in the program won’t help you. Admission to the program seems to be by test scores which tells colleges the exact same thing as your SAT score.</p>
<p>What might make the actual difference is what you got out of the program. Did your study skills improve? Did you develop intellectual curiosity? Can you work more independently than your classmates? Those are all valuable skills that will help (have helped) you in high school and throughout college. Thus the program might serve you well indirectly, but I doubt any adcom will go “wow, he participated in Gifted Enrichment”.</p>
