Anyone seeing this darn giraffe waiting to have a calf? How long has this been going on? I understand that a birth can not be predicted precisely. But it seems like we gave been watching for many weeks. My sympathies to the female giraffe!
Gestation is about 453 to 464 days or 14 to 15 months. I have read both. So it seems closer to 15 months. When did they start doing the live programming? Couldn’t they have gotten it close? It’s difficult for us moms watching her pacing and pacing and waiting to give birth.
Because of us watching for so long, it has become a target for comedy on the internet. Have you seen the video of the pregnant woman wearing a giraffe head roaming around her bedroom? It’s funny.
Come on Mother Nature, show us the birth!
