<p>As a girl, I’m sort of undecided. I drool over the GQ models…(cue squeals) and I love well dressed guys. Preppy clothes are always very classy (though I don’t dress very preppy myself) and always make me appreciate a guy more. However, I realize that i’m pretty unrealistic if I expect all guys to be on top of fashion and now believe that if guys can a) diversify their wardrobes (+1 to whoever said that earlier) b) match patterns reasonably c) have good hygiene (+1+1+1+1), they generally look fine. </p>
<p>I also agree with whoever said it’s how you wear stuff - some people I know wear mostly one brand but manage to look good in it. </p>
<p>Really, I don’t think clothes are as important on guys as girls. I think clothes on girls can drastically affect the way they look…some of the most ‘plain’ girls look absolutely gorgeous when they try stuff that’s more flattering to them. </p>
<p>On males, it helps/makes one more noticeable and classy (sloppy vs crisp) but generally (for me, at least), it doesn’t really change what they look like and I personally value personality/intelligence as much as looks. </p>
<p>So…yeah, it matters to some extent, but after a certain point, I don’t much care. However, dressing nicely is always a plus, no matter what gender you are…so go all out if you feel like it :D.</p>
