Girls: Do you care how guys dress?

I’m a girl and I kind of agree with what you said about the guys that look like tools. Preppy clothes that is very common is just not interesting or fashionable looking as it used to be…it does not give off a good vibe to me with those guys since it makes it seem like they all have the same personality, I’m just reminded again and again of the same traits when I see those clothes.

Personally I do like to see a well dressed guy. Rather than the style you mentioned, I prefer just a natural look : light tee (like v-neck), casual blazer, and some nice fitting jeans (not just baggy but ones that actually flatter legs).
Perhaps not the best picture of what style I’m talking about, but yeah; <a href=“dressmonkey.com - This website is for sale! - dressmonkey Resources and Information.”>dressmonkey.com - This website is for sale! - dressmonkey Resources and Information.;
A clean look that doesn’t really indicate any preference toward “preppy” or “street” or “punk” style and is neutral, I think is best. Neutral shoes as well.
It’s nice if guys have unique clothing, nice jacket (like double-breasted, trench, a stylish puffy one, etc), and nice fitting jeans. I think if he has at least 2 of those, he would look fine. I would rather he wear different clothes than others, even if his style was slightly unique.
To me the jeans fit say a lot…don’t know why, but it just seems to determine the guy’s entire style. I find myself looking at that first for some reason…

That being said, if the guy is really attractive or great personality the clothes is not that important. I was attracted to/admired a guy recently who wore sweats and hoodies and actually looked sloppier than others, but because he was super nice, I liked him more than other guys who were dressed average/normally.

It’s good to dress nice to impress in the beginning, but if a girl becomes your friend for a long time or likes you, she will not care very much at all. If you started dating for a while, she could tell you her preference and whatnot if you asked.

As the saying goes, girls mold guys into their ideal types.
One day after a while or so of dating her you will touch your hair and go wth, when did I straighten my hair? It actually feels nice and looks good. And… is that a manicure? And then your friends will be like …dude.
Haha
