Hello all, I am a rising senior from Philly, PA. Traditionally, girls have been underrepresented in the ‘hard sciences’ such as physics and engineering. I was wondering if my demostrated interest in such things (as a girl) would help in the admissions process in a highly selective school such as Brown. What are your thoughts on this? Would this be considered unique at all, as opposed to say, a girl interested in the humanities?

Basically: I am planning to apply PLME ED, and was wondering if declaring an undergraduate major such as Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering would aid in my chances the tiniest bit.

Thanks!
