Girls / Partys at Yale

I was accepted to Yale early but haven’t yet accepted the offer (waiting to hear from the other 100 schools I applied to). I’m pretty sure that I’ll get into most if not all the schools I applied to (all the other ivies, Stanford, then more easy going like NYU etc) but I’m not sure where I really want to go. I’ve always been the kid who gets straight As while taking the most difficult course load possible (5 APs and 3 honors this year) but also likes to party all weekend long and enjoy hot girls. I’ve got a couple friends (girls) at Rollins and I’ve gone there a couple times and all the girls there are beautiful and all the do is party (seems like somewhat of a paradise).

But basically, what are the girls like at Yale? What is the party scene like? Also at other ivies if anyone knows

thanks alot

8.5" feet tall and shooting fire out of their nostrils. Fact.

^ is that all? i could’ve sworn they were at least 11 ft. tall. :frowning: 8 and a half just doesn’t cut it in my book.

you must be too cool and amazing to correctly spell “parties”.

“alot” is not one word, fool. you seem like a real smarty-pants. wow the ladies with your intelligence, if not your wordly class.

Amazing how one can get into every Ivy with such dubious spelling abilities.

Hmm yes, I was just wondering the same thing, ilovebagels!

BTW how are you feeling? I read on your bagels thread that you aren’t well. :)

Hey man, I hear at Stanford, the babes go in, like, bikini aaaaall the time man.

haha yea I wasn’t really paying attention when I typed that, and I’ve never liked that “a lot” wasn’t spelled “alot”. I had been talking with friends and saying “partyers” so “partys” just sort of came out.

Haha but besides my idiotic spelling mistakes… does anyone have any real responses?

Well since you already know you’re getting into most if not all the Ivies, your omniscience should provide you with the answer.

oh. great. one. bows

thanks tetrisfan. I’m still feeling a little under the weather, but not quite as bad as before. I hate getting sick. I wonder what is going to happen when I move to Bangalore and get sick there! eek. oh well, it’s gonna be one great adventure, and Yalies are doing it so it must be good.

IF you applied to Yale early wouldn’t that be ED and you have a binding agreement to go there?

so is that the deciding factor after you get into every school in the nation with graceful ease? the girls?
i hope you feel sorry for creating this thread by now.

Yale is SCEA, and is non-binding.

While I’m not at Yale and am pretty much in the same boat as you as for what im looking for in a college, I thought i would be helpful and actually respond without tearing appart your grammar or spelling.

Yale I heard actually throws decent parties. I hear the admin there is also pretty chill about underage drinking and there are a fair amount of parties and actually some pretty dec girls

Penn is supposed to be the party school of the ivies. I have a couple friends up there they love it and say there are partys everyweekend but not so many hot girls

Cornell has a pretty big party scene as well. I have two family members who went there and a few friends. Lots of parties greek scene is huge. RA’s i heard can be hit or miss some are amazing some are dicks. Girls are pretty good nothing like a southern school though.

from there i dont know too much but here is the feel i got. you have dartmouth which i dont know too much about but ive heard there is alot of drinking. Harvard i heard is a ton of work some parties friends sister went there she said she partied only a few times over the year. Columbia i heard is pretty good for party scene if you are into the NYC thing. no idea on p-ton.
Heard brown is a blast but has a fair amount ofweed if you are into that.

This is all from someone applying but that was a deciding factor on where i applied so yeah take it for what it’s worth.

haha… i do a bit JohnC613… lol whats wrong with being intelligent and liking hot girls too? I mean girls and parties are not going to dictate where I go to school but I’d like to know i can have some fun when I’m not studying.

and Yale is EA so no it is not binding

I think people were mostly offended because you said, with as much confidence as if you were talking of a state school application, that you would be admitted into all the Ivies.

No one can know that for sure, and even if you do somehow know, many on CC are struggling and dealing with rejection and possible rejection. So please be a little modest.

OP, if you’ve really been admitted to Yale, you can shop the admitted student website photos for visual of future potential classmates. Please post your photo and identify yourself there so that reciprocal evaluation can be made.

Posting in epic thread…

If it’s really that hard for you to find attractive girls, you’d better go to the biggest school possible (maximizes your chances, and all that).

A lot of guys complain about the attractiveness of yale ladies, but you can use the admits site to judge for yourself. The more attractive girls are very much in demand. I suspect this would be true for just about all the ivies.

Party scene is pretty good, although CT alcohol laws changed last year and that’s made things a little more difficult. There are some popular clubs and good concerts on campus. If you’re looking for a good time (and free alcohol), it’s not too hard to find.
