Wow, you went above and beyond. I hope you and the other ladies have fun.
Thank you!
(It might be a Southern tendency)
Have a great time! We used to do these as mom bashes, but not for Valentine’s Day and I had them in pajamas spending the night. Yours looks like fun!
Well done! Thanks for sharing the photos.
If anyone is still interested, here is the table with the food on it.
Party was a rip-roaring success!
That looks fabulous, @Hoggirl.
(Love those shutters.)
Aw, so impressive! Your friends are indeed lucky that you have the skills and enthusiasm to pull that together.
The charcuterie board is a 10/10 effort! What was the biggest hit at the get together?
Hard to say? The Dirty Shirleys were not, so if I do a repeat next year, I’ll just do pink Prosecco.
Everyone did ooo and ahh over the table and all the flowers. My BFF who was visiting from ATL gets all the credit for those arrangements. I think everyone liked getting a tiny favor bag of chocolate.
I had waaayyy too much food - women just don’t eat as much as men do.
It was good I had multiple spare crowns as not everyone followed directions! I did have one of the young guests take two selfies of all 19 of us! Everyone has on crowns on both, but in one of them, everyone is also wearing pink, heart-shaped sunglasses that I’d ordered from Amazon. I texted those photos to each guest after the party.
The point about women and eating at a party. I think they (sadly) need someone to break the ice and take a plate and fill it up - or to rave about some food and encourage (not push) others to try it. This is something that actually bothers me - that somehow it looks more womanly to not indulge in the food - because it all looked delicious and if it was at home on the family room coffee table I bet people would dig in.
People don’t provide food at a party to have it not be eaten! Enjoy some food and make that ok and normal.
Off my soap box about that!
