Give Me A Chance?

Sorry for the really lame title. Here we go:

White female from near Seattle, WA
GPA: 3.9 UW (my school doesn’t weight)
SAT: Argh, this is bad 2110 (730 CR, 650 M, 730 W)
SAT II: 780 U.S. History, 750 Literature
APs: Took the only two available to me this year (couldn’t take any earlier) and I got a 5 on US Hist. and a 5 on English Lang/Comp.
Courseload: So far, I have been taking pretty much the hardest courseload available at my school (advanced math and english, skipped a year in science, etc.)
Rank: School doesn’t let me know until later in the year

Senior Courseload: I am going all out
AP English
Multimedia
AP Physics
AP Calculus AB
AP Spanish 4
AP Government

ECs:
-Drama Club-all years, lettered 10, 11, VP 11, might be P for 12
-Key Club- grades 10-12 (like 100 hours comm. service)
-Energy Conservation Club-11,12 Cofounder and Head of Publicity (this is a club I started with some kids from my Physics class, based on an idea our teacher had about this device that uses the hot water from your shower/dishwasher/clothes washer to heat your house, we got written up in the Seattle Times for it)
-Numerous theatre productions (some lead roles, some supporting)
-Wrote and directed an award-winning one-act play at our local festival
-Badminton Club–12, Cofounder, President, I belong to a pro badminton gym and play a LOT
-Equestrian sports for 7+ years, numerous ribbons/medals in local rated shows (English, equitation, Welsh shows)
-NHS (per usual)
-Working on the senior slideshow (two people each year spend several months designing a really awesome, very long slideshow of pictures submitted by the seniors that is shown at the final assembly)

Awards (disclaimer: my school does not hand out awards often)
-Outstanding Student Award (pretty much the only thing you can get)
-My play that I wrote/directed got top honors at a local festival and one of the performers won Best Actress for her role
-Lots of awards/grants for the Energy Conservation Club device

Volunteering:
-Camp counselor for several years (worked with young kids at a horse camp)
-Relay For Life (two years, one as cocaptain)

Recc’s: Will be really good, I think
Essays: I expect them to be awesome

I would really love to know your opinions on how I might do applying to Dartmouth, possibly ED. Thanks so much!

Dont worry about your stats, you are still in the ballpark. I think your playwright experience will make you a competitive candidate.

I dont know much about US statistics but your scores seem fine!

PS: I think almost everyone is applying ED this year =D

No one with scores in your range has gotten in from our HS in the last 4 years. My understanding is that Dartmouth is very numbers oriented for students without hook. I would retake the SATs.

yeah. Maths is a bit low :-/ just retake the SAT, but this time concentrate on maths, and only maths. Dartmouth only cosiders highest scores from individual sections, so try to bring maths up to a 700 plus.

Thanks for all the replies, guys! (Hey, that rhymes!)

I know, I know, I know about the SAT score. It irritates me, because I like the rest of my scores fine, but that stupid math score on the SAT just kills me… I’m probably gonna retake it/take the ACT. I would like to raise the other two (CR and W) as well, because I usually do better. On the PSAT, I got perfect on CR, so maybe I was just having a bad day on SAT day. We’ll see.
