Give Me Some Goals

Freshman GPA: 2.67 (85 or 86)

Sophomore GPA so far: 3.1, 3.2 (90)

EC: Taekwondo, Soccer, Student Senate, YG Guitar

Awards: A lot of taekwondo state championship gold medals won every year.

PSAT: 53 CR, 61 M, 49 W

I know I’m not very impressive but please give me some goals and please don’t be an ******* haha.

Boston University
New Hampshire
Loyola University Chicago
Boston College (i can dream haha)
NYU (another dream)
Rutgers

maybe some other schools i should aim for? I know i’m already out of the ivy league race haha

Hmmmm.

Arizona State University? Unless you want to stay in the Northeast… It’s a pretty cheap school for OOS and decent. You’re pretty much guaranteed in.

Your goals are these:
~get up that GPA (if you show an amazing turn-around, you have a better shot at NYU and BC)
~get some better EC’s… and quickly.
~take the ACT instead of the SAT (some people say it’s easier)
~improve your writing skills… the essay will be your friend.

Good luck. :D

I would agree with atrophicwhisper. I’d also, if it were me, try to get in some volunteer hours. :)

thanks guys I’m going to study for the SAT, when I took the PSAT I had no idea what to expect so I was surprised. Also do you guys think colleges will take into consideration that at our school a 90 is a B+? Also taekwondo and soccer aren’t good EC’s?

Tae kwon do is, based on your numerous state awards.

However, you did not tell us how good you are at soccer.

I’m not recruiting or walk on material. I’ve been playing at a nike premier club for 2 years now. The club according to the USL is the #2 ranked club in the country for its Super Y Team. I don’t really have that much time to do much more than what I’m doing because taekwondo consumes so much time and soccer fills in all other time pretty much. Should I add that I’m a 3rd degree black belt who’s been training for over 10 years now? I’ve also qualified for nationals.
